Piratframes crew FPV pilots

ABOUT US

FROM A CREW OF FRIENDS TO A WORLDWIDE FPV BRAND

NO HYPE. NO FLOOD. JUST REAL FRAMES DESIGNED BY PILOTS, FOR PILOTS.

OUR STORY.

2016. We were just a crew of friends flying together. FPV was raw, the community was small, and building your own gear was part of the game.

We wanted a frame that didn't exist yet. So we made one. The first Pirat was sketched in Illustrator, sent to a CNC shop, and cut — just enough for each of us to have one.

Then people started asking. And asking again. We packed the boxes ourselves, went to the post office, handled everything by hand. One frame at a time, Piratframes grew from a crew project into a real company.

WHY PIRAT.

THE NAME

Pirates chose freedom, rebellion, and their own rules. They organized differently, outside the system. That spirit resonates with FPV and with us.

FLY OR DIE

Borrowed from skate culture. No compromise. You commit or you don't. It's a mindset — in the air and on the ground.

RELEASED WHEN READY

We don't drop frames every two weeks to flood the market. A new Pirat comes out when the team is happy with it. Tested, validated, approved by pilots who crash hard and fly harder.

REAL OVER HYPE

No marketing noise. No fake scarcity. Just solid carbon fiber frames built for people who actually fly. If it's good, pilots talk. That's our only advertising.

FAQ.

What camera systems are compatible with Piratframes?

All our 5-inch frames (Punch, Shorty, Bagar) are compatible with DJI O3, DJI O4, Walksnail, and analog cameras. They fit both 19mm and 20mm camera formats.

What carbon fiber does Piratframes use?

We use high-quality 3K carbon fiber plates in T300 and T700 grades, CNC-cut with precision. Arm thickness and plate specs vary by model to optimize the balance between weight, stiffness, and crash resistance for each frame's purpose.

Where can I buy Piratframes?

Piratframes are available at Drone-FPV-Racer (Europe), Pyrodrone, Rotor Riot, and MyFPVStore (USA). Check our homepage for the full retailer list.

What is the difference between Punch and Shorty?

Both share the same arms and hardware. The Punch has a traditional battery position (bottom rear), while the Shorty is shorter with a toilet tank battery position (on top), giving a different flight feel with balanced axes.

Do you ship spare parts?

Yes, all spare parts (arms, plates, hardware, TPU parts) are available through our official retailers. Punch and Shorty share the same arms for convenience.

What geometry options are available?

The Punch and Shorty can be built in True-X or Squashed-X geometry using the same arms — just mount them differently. The Bagar uses a dedicated geometry optimized for crash resistance.
